Goldbacks

The Goldback is a unit of measure equaling 1/1000th of a troy ounce of 24-Karat gold inside of a durable interchangeable (fungible) physical note. For example, a 10 Goldback note (1/100 oz) equals the same gold content as two 5 Goldbacks (2 × 5 × 1/1000 = 1/100 oz) or ten 1 Goldbacks (10 × 1 × 1/1000 = 1/100 oz) without any additional premium.
